1.29 | Stephen King, Lynda La Plante, & H.G. Wells

Lee finishes up the long awaited sequel to the Stephen King classic, The Shining and Eddie talks tripod mecha invasions from the nineteenth century. Lee gets overachiever of the week, and reviews two books, and they both talk coinci-do’s and coinci-don’ts of their fave fictional feasts.

1.26 | Max Brooks, Graham Masterton, & Zombies

This week is all about zombies! Lee and Eddie talk about the differences between the book and the film of Max Brooks’ World War Z (they also argue over whether it’s “zed” or “zee”). Lee talks about her foray into horror games, and virtual reality, and Eddie gets nostalgic about some of the most disturbing and scary books she’s ever read in a new segment she’s calling “scarred for life again by Graham Masterton”.

1.24 | Charles Yu, Andrew Pyper, & Does size matter?

This week Eddie discusses How to Live Safely in a Science Fictional Universe, Lee talks more evil twins, and they both ask the question “how long is too long” when it comes to reading? Do some books need to be longer, while others ought to be shorter? Find out (potentially not) in this episode of Crime Time!

1.18 | Harlan Coben, Gillian Flynn, & Crimance

In this week’s episode Lee and Eddie Crimance a river (over you, dear listeners), chat about books out of order (and Lee’s betrayal of all that Eddie holds dear), and discuss the murky depths of the ever controversial (and we’ve been belatedly informed, mispronounced) Gillian Flynn.

If any listeners out there have recommendations for great Crimance reads to start Eddie off on her journey into the genre, let us know via Twitter!

1.17 | Shirley Jackson Week

That’s right, Lee and Eddie will be discussing one of the greatest horror authors to have ever lived, Shirley Jackson! The ever controversial short story “The Lottery” is the major topic of discussion. What makes it so creepy? We literally don’t know, but we do know you can listen to A.M. Homes read it on the New Yorker: Fiction Podcast available for free on iTunes! In fact, do that right now!

Lee and Eddie go head to head in yet another book vs book where neither has read the other! Will We Have Always Lived in the Castle win over The Haunting of Hill House? Are either really committed to anything other than victory? Were they both just happy to read some great books? Find out in this week’s episode!

1.11 | Lee & Eddie Chuck A Sickie: TV Special

This week Lee & Eddie have the flu but they are so committed to Crime Podcasting that they have chucked a sickie to bring you this week’s TV themed episode of Crime Time.

Grab your popcorn and tune in as Lee & Eddie talk Crime Time television faves: Dexter, The Ghost Whisperer, Medium, Psych, Elementary, Numb3ers, CSI Cyber, and more.
