Lee finishes up the long awaited sequel to the Stephen King classic, The Shining and Eddie talks tripod mecha invasions from the nineteenth century. Lee gets overachiever of the week, and reviews two books, and they both talk coinci-do’s and coinci-don’ts of their fave fictional feasts.
This week Eddie reviews the one and only Anne Holt, Lee won’t stop gushing about Gilly Macmillan, and over three decades after The Shining was published Stephen King wrote a sequel, then quite a bit after that Lee found it and freaked out! Will it be great? Will Lee discover the key to making her favourite authors write sequels? Will Eddie stop interrupting long enough for her to finish her review? Probably not, but find out in episode 28!
In episode 4 we reveal the end of Ngaio Marsh’s A Man Lay Dead, congratulate Queen Lizzie 2 on being the best sequel in the biz, talk trash (definitions), and Eddie falls for the literal red herring.
